This is a law relating to provision of food for employees dealing with an emergency. It requires that emergency food about to expire be donated to food shelves, food banks, food pantries and other "nonprofit organizations providing food and meals for the needy."

The county administrator or acting county administrator shall determine when preparation for a disaster emergency should begin, in consultation with the department director charged with oversight of emergency management activities, whether circumstances constituting an emergency exist, and approve the beginning and end of the time period when food shall be made available to personnel. The determination shall be consistent with this section. . .The county administrator shall establish procedures, subject to review and approval by the clerk of the circuit court, applicable to the purchase, use, and disposition of food, materials, and supplies acquired pursuant to this section. . .A log of names of persons fed and invoices for food, materials, and supplies, along with information identifying the anticipated or actual emergency disaster or other emergency, shall be maintained and submitted to the clerk's finance department together with the determination of the county administrator or acting county administrator pursuant to subsection (b)(1).
