This ordinance requires customers of retail establishments, which includes grocery stores, to wear face coverings while inside an enclosed area (§§ 1(5)(a), 2(1)). Employees at retail establishments must wear face coverings in areas open to the general public and where social distance cannot be maintained between employees (§ 2(2)). Exceptions to the requirement include children under 10 (provided that their parents use reasonable efforts to secure compliance) and individuals with medical or behavioral conditions or religious beliefs that prevent compliance (§ 3).
