This section creates a Division of Veterans Affairs within the City's Department of Health and Human Services to, among other things, develop "forward-thinking opportunities and partnerships to improve the quality of life of veterans, military personnel, and both groups' respective families," including by collaborating across both private and public sectors to "monitor status of veteran homelessness and hunger, engaging with existing City services and community organizations to facilitate home ownership, affordable housing, transitional shelter, and nutrition opportunities" for those populations.
