These provisions define “essential businesses” that may continue during the state of emergency period declared by the City beginning on March 12, 2020 to include e.g., food banks; businesses that offer food and "other necessities of life" for "economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals;" and educational institutions for food provision and delivery (provided social distancing of six feet per person is maintained to the greatest extent possible).
