This emergency order recognizes that fishing and shell fishing are essential services for the purposes of providing food and therefore extends all 2019-2020 recreational shell fishing licenses set to expire on March 31, 2020 until the state of emergency has been lifted. The order further confirmed that any 2020 licenses already sold are considered valid. Further, the order requires persons engaging in shell fishing to practice the CDC's social distancing recommendations.
