Declaration of policy for entire Food section refers to preservation and promotion of health (§ 6-101) and is part of health code; law requires nutrition information to be disclosed (6-308(1), 6-308(c )).
"§ 6-101: Declaration of Policy. (1) The purpose of this Title is the preservation and promotion of the health of the people of the City and to this end this Title is intended to embrace all matters to which the regulatory or police powers and duties of the Department of Public Health extend."

Penalties are specified--up to $500. Sec.6-308 (7). Further states: "Notices of violation shall be issued by authorized Health Department inspectors or any other persons authorized to enforce ordinances. Such notices ... shall be issued under the procedures set forth in § 1-112, except that the amount required to be remitted in response to a notice of violation shall be one hundred fifty dollars ($150)."
